Railfan Ontario Vol-2

It’s been nearly 25 years since the video you will see was last produced by Canrail Video Productions. All the rail action was shot on Beta1 between 1987 and 1988 during the heat of summer to the coldest winter day.

In 2011 Canrail Video, in partnership with Green Frog Productions Ltd., is proud to re-release Railfan Ontario Part 2 on DVD. State of the art production facilities bring this now vintage footage back to life as you’ll see all the action along Canada’s hot spot.

This area between Burlington West and Bayview Jct. is home to CN, CP, VIA Rail, Amtrak and Go Transit. Run through power was a real treat back in the 80’s as you’ll see Bessemer & Lake Erie, GT and DT&I units. Also common place back then was every ones favorite…. The caboose!

Also available is Railfan Ontario Part 3 which is a continuation of Part 2. You’ll see more great action and run through power along the hot spot.

Railroading Through the Winter of 93

The Winter of 1993 was extremely tough on almost everyone in the Northeast part of the North American continent. It was especially rough on the railroads. Schedules were only for reference as train crews, dispatchers and gandy dancers worked long hours to clear tracks, rescue stalled trains, and try to keep up some semblance of operation.

Robert McCormack of Hamilton Ontario braved many of these elements to capture some great trains-in-snow action. Green Frog is proud to release this Winter of '93 video production.
Taped with professional broadcast equipment, this video covers the Canadian National, Canadian Pacific, Amtrak, CSX, Grand Trunk, Via Rail, and Co Transit. Locations covered include: Alershot, Burlington West, Niagara Falls, Fort Erie, Copetown, Dundas, and Bayview Junction...all in the province of Ontario as well as action in New York State.

Approx. 59 Minutes
Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo

Goderich Exeter

Railtex’s new venture into Canada...see this shortline in Winter and Summer. Great action with chop-nosed GP-9’s, cab rides, and deep cold snow!
