This line formerly belonged to the Pennsylvania Railroad and was later sold to the Norfolk and Western. Traffic is so heavy on this line that new sidings had to be added and existing sidings extended to accommodate two full-sized trains if need be.

Locations include: Seven Mile, Camden, Campbellstown, Richmond, Hagerstown, Millville, New Castle, Oakville, Cowan, Muncie, Royerton, Eaton, Hartford City, Montpelier, Poneto, Bluffton, Kingsland, and Ft. Wayne.
