We’re going to step into the railroading time machine and travel back to 1998 to catch the endless variety of trains and Motive Power in the Kansas City area.
We start the program at one of the busiest junctions in the country, Santa Fe Junction. This is where the former Santa Fe, Now BNSF “southern transcon” mainline from Chicago to the southwest, intersects with other BNSF and Union Pacific lines. East of the junction, the trackage is operated by the Kansas City Terminal Railway through downtown Kansas City. — The amount of locomotive variety on display in this program is staggering!
Railroads & Locations seen; Amtrak, BNSF, Burlington Northern, KCS, Soo Line, Union Pacific, Southern Pacific, Gateway Western, C&NW, NS, NYS&W, LMX, Triple Crown, I&M Rail Link, Santa Fe Jct., Argentine Yard, Neff Yard, Knoche Yard and other locations…
