DVD BNSF (Tracks of the Old SF vol4-Raton Line)

Through the Professional camera lens of Rich Scheid we値l follow the tracks of the old Santa FE main line over the Rocky Mountains in their quest for the west coast.
We値l start out in Belen, New Mexico and head north over the Rio Grande to Albuquerque. Then after visiting Albuquerque we値l head north to Cerrillos, New Mexico then to Lamy, New Mexico near Santa FE.

We値l then climb aboard a Santa FE Southern train and ride in the cab of a GP low nose locomotive on up to Santa FE, New Mexico on the old Santa FE spur line up to Santa FE, and visit the depot and town. Next we値l climb aboard the short line back to Lamy, here we値l follow the old Santa FE mainline up through Apache Canyon, over Glorietta Pass and continue north to Las Vegas, New Mexico.

Next on to Wagon Mound over the Cimarron River and on to famous Raton, New Mexico and its historic depot. This line still had Semi fore Signals in operation in many locations at the time of this filming.

BNSF-TRACKS OF THE OLD SANTA FE MAINLINE OVER RATON PASS PART2

We値l continue our journey on the old Santa FE Mainline over Raton Pass...We値l start out in Raton, New Mexico and climb over the highest Pass on the old Santa FE Railroad. On BNSF Super Railroad we値l hit the great locations over this famous Pass and over the state line to the scenic town of Trinidad, Colorado, we値l also see many shots of the Southwest Chief climbing near the Pass.

We値l head north to Walsenburg, Colorado by the twin spanish peaks and follow the main line back down to Trinidad. If you like scenery and mountain railroading then you値l love this video! Approx. 65 Minutes
