ChamaTurn_DVD.jpg
Railroaders called it 'The Chama Turn', and sometimes the Cumbres Turn. Most railfans knew the operations over Cumbres simply as the Cumbres Pass route. In the mid 60's, noted photographer Emery Gulash brought his 16 mm Bolex to Colorado to capture all the nuances of Colorado Rocky Mountain railroading at its best.
His keen eye for composition, his patience for waiting for just the right shot, plus his dedicated railfan attitude now provide us with exquisite remembrances of that which was narrow gauge.
Many 'turns' out of Chama are shown, as well as runs to Antonito. Classic photography from one of the great masters of the motion picture camera are depicted in this amazing production.
