In this first volume of a new Green Frog Productions series on NS Freight Trains, we’ll start the video watching freight trains in Mableton, Georgia next to Barnes Hardware. Trains shown in this program Include; Norfolk Southern, KCS, UP, & BNSF.
We’ll cross paths with a couple Heritage units, including the Illinois Terminal Heritage Unit SD70ACe #1072 and a rare find in the south, the UP Rio Grande Heritage Unit SD70ACe #1989 traveling east toward Atlanta.
We’ll catch trains at various locations along the main line traveling west toward Alabama from Mableton to Villa Rica.
We’ll also spend a good amount of time in Austell traveling the main line Northwest toward Rome, Georgia, jumping back and forth to other locations, including; Austell, Mableton, Lithia Springs, Douglasville, Winston, Villa Rica, Temple, Hiram, Dallas, Powder Springs, Rockmart, and Lindale, Georgia.
We’ll finish the video off with a day trip to the Lindale Train Viewing Platform just south of Rome Georgia, and catch a few NS freights and double stacks.
