Camera of Terry Lewis

1st up is Winton Place which at the time was the busiest rail location in Cincinnati. It’s 1994 and a third main line has been added, directional running north and south has enabled over 80 trains a day to pass through this junction. Action is non-stop.

Next we visit the NS First District which crosses the Ohio River and follows a 7 mile 1.25% climb up Erlanger Hill. Locomotives work hard with steel wheels squealing through the curves, and helpers shove hard on the rear of long trains. Once at the top of the hill, it’s a speedway down through Kentucky.

Tons of varied trains & runbys, with great sound and action galore…
